At Sew Far Sew Good Sewing Studio, our kids and teen sewing classes are designed to inspire creativity and build real skills, step by step, week by week.
From curious beginners picking up a needle for the first time to experienced young makers tackling their own patterns, every child is welcomed, challenged, and supported.
Classes run weekly from September to June, with flexible session-based registration so it's easy to join at the right time for your family.
Kids Ages 6-7
This is the perfect first step into the world of sewing! In these classes, younger children learn to sew using a needle and thread while working on fun, age-appropriate projects.
They'll explore a variety of hand-stitching techniques, practice following simple patterns and instructions, and build confidence in a creative, supportive environment.
No experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to create.
Tweens & Teens Ages 8-17
Got a project idea? This is the place to bring it to life. Our instructors meet students where they are, guiding them through new techniques and helping them create projects they're proud of, all in a fun, encouraging environment.
Students can bring their own supplies or shop our in-studio retail corner. All sewing equipment and expert guidance are included.
A Teens-only group (ages 13--17) meets Saturday afternoons for students who prefer working alongside peers their own age.
Current Session Schedule
Classes are offered across multiple days and times to fit your family's schedule. Each session runs 6 or 7 weeks, with class lengths of 1.5–2 hours depending on the age group.
Fees are based on the number of classes in your session.
Sunday Session 1 is split into two 3-week mini-sessions (1A + 1B) to accommodate families observing the Fall High Holidays. Book both together for the full session, or choose just one.
Families observing the holidays should book Session 1B — no make-ups needed, no missed classes.
Closed for Thanksgiving long weekend (Sat Oct 10 – Mon Oct 12): affects Monday, Saturday, and Sunday classes.

Missed Classes and Cancellation Policy
All class registrations are final sale. If your child misses a class, we may be able to offer a Catch-Up Class during the same session depending on availability, but make-up classes are not guaranteed.
Missed classes do not carry forward to future sessions and are not eligible for credits or refunds. For camps, cancellations made at least 30 days before the start date will receive a credit valid for six months; cancellations made less than 30 days in advance are not eligible for a credit or refund.
