A Skirt
Part 1: Skirt Block 101
Course Description
This hands-on introductory patternmaking course guides you through drafting your first custom skirt block from your own measurements. You’ll create a mock-up to test the fit and explore scaled design variations, building the skills and confidence to take your patterns from paper to garment. This is the perfect foundation for the next steps in designing and sewing your own skirts.

Skill level requirement:
Perfect for beginners with basic sewing skills and intermediate sewers, as this class focuses on Patternmaking rather than introductory sewing techniques..
Thursdays, 7-9pm: Mar. 12 - Apr. 9 (4 weeks), $345+HST (all materials included)

Part 2: Design Your Skirt Pattern
Course Description
In Part 2 of the Skirt series, students move beyond the basic block and begin designing. Using the skirt block created in Part 1, you’ll learn how to manipulate and modify your pattern to create your own skirt design. This course focuses on translating ideas into accurate patterns while building a deeper understanding of shape, proportion, and design choices. By the end of the course, you’ll have a custom skirt pattern ready to be brought to life in Part 3.

Perfect for beginners and intermediate sewers who have basic sewing skills and have completed Part 1: Skirt Block 101.

Part 3: Cut & Sew Your Skirt
Course Description
In Part 3 of the Skirt series, students bring their custom skirt patterns to life. Using the skirt block and design created in Parts 1 and 2, you’ll cut, fit, and sew your skirt under expert guidance. This hands-on class focuses on construction techniques, ensuring your finished skirt fits beautifully and reflects your design choices

Perfect for beginners and intermediate sewers who have basic sewing skills and have completed Part 1 & 2 Skirt Block 101.
